Outriders – My Edge of Time Trickster Build (5.6M Blade @ 9:18) Great for Solos/Groups

Unstoppable Force will eventually be patched so that the effects don’t stack. Here is the pure version of the build that doesn’t leverage the unintended stack: https://youtu.be/HkfdkcE71rM

The build focuses entirely around buffing Temporal Blade (‘TB’) with Venator’s Knife (‘VK’) and Hunt the Prey (‘HtP’). It’s extremely easy to cast these skills in a rotation together since all the cooldowns are between 6.3-6.9s and they will constantly refresh your Anomaly Power (‘AP’) buffs along the way. The only slight hiccup is the delay on TB’s cooldown because casting the animation twice delays the cooldown from starting compared to cooldowns that start immediately after VK and HtP. Once you get the rhythm of waiting for a second or two before starting your next rotation, you will fall into the groove easily. Use those few moments to Melee another enemy or roll/sprint to a better spot/angle.

CLASS TREE:
The only nodes we are interested in are ones that boost AP, Resistance Piercing (‘RP’), and Cooldown Reduction (‘CDR’) so we’ll take all 7 ‘Concentration’ nodes for a total increase of 42% to AP, both ‘Disturbance Coating’ nodes for an extra 20% RP, and Anomaly Scything for a 5s boost to AP by 30% after using Melee on an enemy. Both ‘Continuum’ nodes are important to get TB’s cooldown as low as possible with the extra 30% CDR. ‘Countershield,’ ‘Combat Shield’s Timeline,’ and ‘Anomalic Acceleration’ boost your AP by 50% for 10s each after using VK, HtP, and TB respectively. Life Transfer is required and will provide 6% Skills Life Leech (‘SLL’) on its way to Leap of Clincher, which boosts RP by 25% for 10s after using a Movement skill. Scion of the Void increases RP by 25% and Armor Piercing by 30% for 10s after using TB. ‘Shadow’s Embrace’ isn’t great for this build, but it’s better than ‘Shielded Readiness’ because we generate more than enough shields as things stand. Finally the capstone, ‘Altered Executioner’ boosts AP by 10% for each enemy in Close Range.

ARMOR + MODS:
– EoT Goggles (AP/CDR/SLL)

T3 Double Slice

T3 Power Assimilation

– Epic Armor (AP/CDR/SLL)

T1 Radiation Jump (‘RJ’)

T3 Unstoppable Force (‘USF’)

– EoT Pants (AP/CDR/SLL)

T1 Slasher

T1 Strong Slice

– EoT Gloves (Max Health/CDR/SLL)

T3 Captain Hunter (‘CH’)

T1 Cut Loose

– Epic Boots (AP/CDR/SLL)

T3 USF***

T2 No Resistance Against the Fortified (NRAtF)

*** I’m unsure if USF is intended to stack, but it seems to work so let’s party***

WEAPONS + MODS:
– Pimary: Anemoi (Armor Pierce attribute is important to passively boosting AP via double-USF and NRAtF synergy)

Moaning Winds (MWs)

Fortress

– Secondary: Deathshield (‘DS’ is necessary because another Anemoi would share MWs cooldown with Primary)

Fortress

MWs

– Pistol: Revolver (it is faster to empty a 6-shot revolver than a 40-round auto pistol)

MWs

Clip Combustion (‘CB’)

ROTATION:
– TB some ads (or on nothing) to activate Anomalic Acceleration and Scion of the Void (after losing buffs to cutscene)
– Herd enemies into groups to the best of your ability to stack ‘Altered Executioner’ buff as high as possible
– VK an Elite/Boss to mark for double damage on the next hit while activating Countershield
– Melee a nearby enemy ad to activate Anomaly Scything
– HtP behind the Elite/Boss to activate Combat Shield’s Timeline and RJ
– TB with the AP-boosted damage against Elite/Boss marked for extra damage from VK, RJ, and CH.
– Reload Anemoi to proc MWs and switch to DS before reload animation finishes
– Proc MWs on DS and switch to Pistol before reload animation finishes
– Proc MWs/CB on Pistol and switch back to Anemoi before reload animation finishes
– Repeat rotation starting with the VK step, peppering in Melee whenever possible because your AP will be riding high

By the time you cast your first TB, your AP will be boosted by +50% from Anomalic Acceleration, +40% from Scion of the Void (because NRAtF converts all Armor Pierce to RP and double-USF converts 100% of RP to AP), +50% from Countershield, +30% from Anomaly Scything, +50% from Combat Shield’s Timeline, and +25% from Leap of Clincher (again, due to 100% conversion from RP to AP via double-USF).

This all gets directed to the Elite/Boss that is marked with VK for double damage + 15% extra Vulnerable damage from RJ + 25% extra Elite damage from CH. I tested this build a couple of times and I stopped checking the stats when I saw the AP jump up to 969k (I wouldn’t be surprised if it hits over 1M in the heat of battle). You’ll routinely see 1.5-4Mil TBs with this setup in solos and the 5.6Mil TB in the video is my personal (known) best so far. I’m usually too busy having fun to realize how much damage I’m doing, but every now and then I’ll see a number clearly pop up and go “oh” lol.

Anyways I hope this guide helps you understand why I built this character the way I did and I hope it inspires you to unlock your inner spacetime ninja 😀
