  1. Good morning GP, I don’t think it’s going to be a problem! More importantly I hope that it’s not a problem. I’m just wondering if they will put in some kind of ping system that is robust. But anyone (most people) that I want to communicate with while playing this game I think I’m going to be able to make it happen because of discord at least until they put something in hopefully 🙏🏾

  2. I don't think it is going to be a problem
A good example of this is Remnant, where there is no in game communication except for pings and emotes.
Furthermore i have usually noticed that more often than not, in game communication becomes extremely puerile at times. This is just my thought.
On the other hand, yes, there might arise problems when the team wants to use a combination of different powerful moves

  3. i tend to mute ingame chat instantly 😀 if i can matchmake with randoms to bruteforce some of the content and have, in my case psn voicechat, with friends for more demanding stuff im fine. people arguing in the background, a cacophonie of different languages and constant barrage of insults is something i can live without

  4. Its fine not an issue at all in my book, maybe only if your friend is on a different platform but then why would be friends with someone who does not play on PS4/pro/5 (jokes). On PSN i just make a voice party with my buddies and we crank it out.

  5. They should use a ping system with VA, discord for pre made ones. For example Deep rock galactic ping system is a great one done right, you don't need to say a single word, just mark stuff and it will get the job done.

  6. So, building upon the in game chat functions in games. It all has to do with that in game chats must adhere to disabilities accessibility laws. This creates a massive undertaking by the developers on the deployment and implementation of said systems. So much in fact the most developers simply skip over the feature entirely because it is very costly and the legal implications that could expose them to lawsuits. Couple this with the daunting task of throwing the "multiplex" cross play into the mix and you have the Mt. Everest of issues. I have provided a link to the law below.

  7. If you’re going to have cross play then you need in game communication period! This is missed opportunity on the creators part. Pinging is trash and shouldn’t substitute. Let’s not forget you need to have free buttons or wheel to ping. I prefer to play and not worry about pinging. In the end Have both.

  8. If you go crossplay I think an in game voice chat makes sense.

I'm working on a outriders companion app to help people out with loadouts in case devs leave that out.
Is that something you would use?

  9. We have the ability to matchmake with our own platform, which probably had better voice options than in game chat anyway. What does worry me, is how do you communicate with those on another platform if you're matched with them or just want to play with friends on a different platform?

  10. Ok these guys are clearly not gamers. How is someone with console going to use discord and still hear the in game sounds. Nobody on console is going to use discord on there phone. This is going to cause alot of people to simply bypass this game.

  11. It's not like we are all used to having a good communication system in mp games at any point (outside of the few exceptions mentioned) so Outriders not having it is fine.
Especially in a game that the End Game is about POWERING thru the level; everyone should know what to do and all that.

  12. Im looking forward to this Game Brian. Ping System and in game voice chat could work, but it depends on the Devs and the Community of course. Im just glad that its cross play right away.

  13. I'm probably going to communicate over Xbox Live parties. But there is always Discord for the cross-play. People can fly said that the development of that system would potentially cause a whole bunch of other issues not the least of which is delaying the game.
