Congratulations for finding the Chestpiece. Maybe it was luck, but today I had the opportunity to get 3 of them, because of the Hunt Guy. I was cheesing him to see what I can get and the first Item I found was the Acari Chest. I thought I was really lucky, but it showed up pretty frequently in his "rotation". Maybe the patch has something to do with it.
I'm still hunting that chest piece, now with the patch to legendary drop rates, will be grindin'

Yep, Pyro is lots of fun!!! Also played right no worries. I myself cannot live without the Acari Helmet with TSUNAMI on it as it greatly widens the heatwave swath. I put Death Sentence on the helmet also.
Chest is Detonator and Tidal Wave. (Acari)
Boots (Acari) Master Consumer and Ash increase range.
Gloves (Purple) Sunburst and Ashen Boost
Pants (Acari) Burnt out and Anomoly
Playing around with Captain Hunter and a few others, however for pure damage combined with sprinting around I have not found any better than above. Need an extra two seconds for cooldown, just run around a rock or something. Lol. They really do not want to catch you even if they think they do. Chuckle. About the time they catch you they turn into little puffs of smoke.
No defense at all. My play style is very, very aggressive and I hit them before they can hit me. One of my favorite tricks is to sprint into the middle of an area full of bad guys and hit heat wave one time to proc the skill tree, then hit Ash and say to self….one, two and then hit Overheat. Everything on the map dies. Just little puffs of smoke and blue lights. Grin!!
Of all the characters I enjoy the Pyro the most. I also think the Pyro is the absolutely most deadly character in the game. As long as I never allow myself to get cornered I never die.
Want to use a sniper along some too? Spirit Hunter with Bone Shrapnel and Fortress will knock them out of their shoes. The Thunderbird with Shadow Comet is also a formidable and fun weapon. Generally I use a weapon only in an emergency for health. Quite rare and use it mainly against a boss or Bird…….Hint…….Ash Blast a bird and it will freeze in midair. Perfect for target practice.

I recently became a fan of a mid tree Faser beam thanks to the buff, for single target damage. You can single shot most elites. If you haven’t tried it yet I recommend.

Love the new legendary drop-rate buff! Got the Acari boots on my first expo to complete my 3-piece set. I'm running more of a middle-tree build currently but will give this one a try too. On the hunt for death sentence mod next.

Why ur torturers mask say item level 52 I thought 50 was the highest level thats a bit weird I saw the same thing on somebody else item too can we level up more now since after the patch ?

Detonator is not an across-the-board cooldown reduction mod, it only affects Overheat.
