I tried this grinding and find it the laziest, drawn out mess I’ve played yet. I don’t see how anyone levels all 4 characters and get the loot desired within a year even playing 3 hours a day on the same map.
I’m finding a free legit modder and I’m maxing out or checking out because I’m burnt out.
Is the XP you get for ascension similar to what you get for progressing through apocalypse tiers?

Assuming you start a Tarya run with the extra boss. The fastest exp farm would be the four bosses with an Arboretum pit stop along the way, followed by lobby refreshing the final Arbiter… right? Doing that as a whole cycle, granted the extra running needed is annoying, might not be a bad idea. Maybe a test on what that run would net in comparison?

Feels like they nerfed drops. All across the board. Getting 1 exotic per room in trials, and some room's drop just purps. Shit is ass

My biggest problem (other than XP gains being frankly shit across the board pidgeonholing us into farming the arbiter even more) is that Ascension levels themselves aren't the real grind and actually have a finite cap.
I don't think anyone's hit that cap yet but it is a little discouraging that we can't just endlessly farm Ascension levels for more power the way you can in other looters (Namely Diablo 3 and Wonderlands – Division 2 caps SHD levels but now has Expertise)
Ah yes MMO time gating / daily mechanics in a single player / coop game. Modern gaming at its finest.

it's the XP for the Apocalyptic teirs seems ridiculous. without getting pulled through. At level 31 my bar is filling up about an 8th. are these going to be 500 hour grinds per character? It's far far too bad….. People will stop playing

Stargrave over colosseum? Is that because of add density or "difficulty" I always thought colosseum was ranked higher in terms of difficulty (never tested these that was just my impression)
I just play the game normally with limited time and I play four characters. Not in a hurry to get to the highest level to just not play the game. I just enjoy the journey and I will eventually get there.
Honestly I've given up on Outriders and the horrible grind fest that it has become. I don't have the free time available anymore to play enough to get the gear and xp needed to advance my character. There is just too much loot that can drop reducing the chances of getting something usefull for your character. And with only being able to replace 1 mod on a piece of gear it makes it even more unlikely that the gear you get to drop is worthless.
I ran a game with some one on pc I’m on PlayStation we played a few games he was carrying until I started one shoting elites checked my weapon and my pistols were modified by him fp is -10000000000000 never seen that guy again and never used the weapon because it just defeats the purpose. The point of this is why do people do that?

The correct answer is simple. Play the damn game in whatever way you find fun and you will get there. Kids these days. When will they learn that nothing worth doing is instant? If you don't have 16 hours a day to sit on your ass and play video games, that's okay. Most people don't.
I was very amazed by your techno build I didnt pay attention to the xp system
buzz I noticed that the final boss in trials once you beat him then try to farm him again you get dropped back one tier and stay locked is there a work around for that? or is that the change they implemented on the last patch..

In my opinion (build dependent), once you get to 100ish Ascension points, the remaining 100 points are not so impactful.
I think focusing on apocalypse tier exp should be the primary focus at that point. You don't lose ascension exp when you die but apocalypses tier exp takes a painful hit on death. Nobody seems to talk about that.
It was interesting to me, that you didn't value Daughters sanctuary for Ascension exp but from my testing that boss in there give a nice chunk of apocalypse exp. I use up all my attempts on the first Arbiter and then head to daughters sanctuary for that boss and his apoc exp.
Back to the ascension discussion – imo the Dunes beast quest Hauras is very lucrative. It can be done brain dead if on a boring zoom call and is great for resources… and worth tabulating for the exp per hour gain.

How does the Apocalypse xp work? Is it based on kills or Xp?
Since we have to go through the 'temple of anomaly' or 'the mausoleum' first, which gave more xp? Thanks for the useful information, I don't think I can handle another build video from anyone.
I think it is is worth trying to replay the Worldslayer story. It is more entertaining the repetitive boss farming and I think you get the mission rewards. Not much in terms of gear of resources but it is fun and quickly done with a decent build.
Problem is the loot drops are so bad, I haven't been able to put together a build that can clear the trials anywhere close to the times you achieve. I can't even finish some of the trials without dying! 😢 Really hope they do something about the loot.
