Finally managed to get quite a few builds ready, so kicked off with my boy the Devastator class already.
So now time for some Pyromancer love….
This class, unfortunately was nerfed quite heavily despite PCF claims to have buffed 80% in the latest balance patch. Pyromancer anomaly power builds do less damage as a result and now often have survivability issues because you’re not killing as fast as before and it will effect skill leech healing too!
The main culprit seems to be the reduction of resistance piercing and it’s scaling from the PAX skill tree and the slight nerf to convection. Although stacking explosive damage via Trigger Sequence has been improved.
Pyro anomaly builds now require more thought, positioning and careful use of skills despite convection still being pretty decent at giving you back cooldown.
Despite this, Pyromancer firepower builds are much better now and arguably better than the anomaly power builds but that can be down to personal taste and your playstyle.
So here’s the best possible version of an eruption build using the Lava Lich set that I could make given the resources I had. It’s strong I feel and capable of clearing entire rooms and as you can see requires 1-3 rotations of your skills to take down the final Arbiter!
Yes I’m using FASER beam, I really like this skill and it ramps up anomaly power using certain mods. I know that status power reductions are there at higher apoc levels but the skill still packs a punch.
