  1. If it's a good game, why didn't the Playstation owners support the game enough? Why did they buy a lot more FF7 copies than the Outriders? The Outriders didn't produce enough sales, mainly because it's not a very good game or just a bug after bug that scared people away. Blaming the Game Pass for the success of the Outriders is just stupid. The Xbox is the least popular platform and affected sales the least. PC and Playstation are the leading sales platforms (the "holy" combination), but for some reason the game didn't generate enough interest there. It's all GP's fault…The game was not even released for Game Pass for PC (did not take any sales away from there).

  2. Didn’t this game release on ps4 and ps5 as well? Where are those numbers? Also pretty sure final fantasy didn’t wipe my inventory twice like outriders did on ps5 where I bought the game

  3. Why would anyone want to compare the most recognizable jrpg game from 1997 to Remake has the most sales than Outriders (Its a new IP game that NOBODY has interested in the first place).

  4. I played outriders on gamepass and got ff7r for free with ps+ on my PS4 pro. Outriders is a better game. Ff7r was very disappointing but nostalgia gonna nostalgia.

  5. Are the fucking serious by trying to compare a new IP to Final Fantasy? FFXV was an absolutely terrible game, and it STILL sold like a juggernaut because of brand recognition alone. Every mainline Final Fantasy game will ride off the coattails of the SNES and Playstation era games. I just don't know what is going through this poster's head – you have to be incredibly delusional to think this is a coherent, rational thought.

  6. So I'm guessing they're just gonna ignore the avengers game that came out by them? Even that game was buggy on all platforms yet they wanna ignore that detail to FF7R that came out on Playstation exclusively.

  7. Sony fanbiys want gamepass so bad, they actually hope it fails so their own company, that instead of gamepass, offered to raise their game prices to 70 dollars, wouldn't have to offer them a consumer friendly, value oriented service…. because, why not just pay MORE like Sony wants them to? I've said this for the last 15 years…. Sony fanboys are the most toxic, the dumbest, and most childish fanboys of any, across all genres. The only thing gamepass did was give that game massive exposure that it didn't get on any other system.

  8. So in other words, in 7 days those playstation fuckboys must show that they buy games.
I expect the sales numbers of Psychonauts 2, be higher on ps4 than on XBOX Series X then.
And we all know, that it won´t happen.

  9. I didn't know Outrides sold over a million on Playstation….so it sold more than Ratchet and Clank and is considered a failure but Ratchet and Clank isn't considered a failure? You can argue budget but it's a new IP full of faults, bugs, and issues (such as endgame content and inventory deleting itself). Returnal sold 200,000 soooo…so PS5 isn't actually looking too hot. Hell last investor call with Sony they lost 2 million PS+ subscriptions. Yet console sales matter when they are literally selling less games than a 3rd party trash game and losing subs.

  10. Square enox already said the game sells exceeded there expectations. The problem was that square enox was not giving royalties and not showing the sales numbers to the devs (people can fly). Where did this outriders didn’t sell well narrative came from?

  11. Gamepass offered an opportunity to play before paying FULL PRICE for it. Imagine if everyone played it paid full price (would have been buyer's remorse for me). Gamepass saved me from buying something I wouldn't end up liking – How is that a bad thing? 🤔

  12. Lmao this dude is literally comparing a game that has 25 years of nostalgia and a massive triple A budget with the advertising to match to a new IP with a quarter of the budget and advertising. Fanboys are both hilarious and sad at the same time smh

  13. This dude is comparing a brand new IP nobody's ever hear of to the remake of an iconic game people have been waiting for since the original test demo for PS3.

They don't even realize they're making arguments in bad faith.

  14. It wasn't square Enix complaining about game pass. Look into it and you would see it was the developer complaining because they haven't received royalties from the game and they are blaming square Enix not game pass.
