Synced Off-Planet Beta Impressions – A diet Division?

Synced Off-Planet is a post-apocalyptic shooter in the vein of games like the Division, Outriders, and Fallout. Does Synced rise above its competition, or is it a diet version? Join me as I play the recently released open beta, as we find out whether this game is worth your time.

Calvin B. Fisher is the author of the Northfield Saga, a post-apocalyptic science fiction series set in a gas-infested wasteland. Mark Northfield faces death or the sacrifice of his soul, when he is blackmailed into an assassination mission. What he doesn’t know is that his target holds the key to saving the world.

  1. The content is super thin and even a horrible grind won't hide it. But if you make it grindy like hell, the core gameplay needs to be on point… well, it's not.

Limited time AND collectabels? What an "interesting" idea -.-

Melee is clunky and the few perks to make it fun are "randomly" sold by consoles during the missions… if you don't get them you will have an awfull match.

Pistols are here just to have pistols you can sell skins for, useless in combat. There is one perk where you can revive yourself with pistols but you should better choose a perk that rises your chance to not get down.

The "Nano-Guardians" are easy to confuse with enemys, they are always in your way, stopping your bullets, causing chaos everywhere… you better use them as a glorified stat-stick on your arm.

So basicly everything but "shooting with maingun" (pretty much everything that makes the game special) doesn't work good (at least for me).

You cannot climb while sprinting, what makes traversing super clunkey. You need to aim very accurate just to pick up things, especially if you opened up a chest. Why we have to manually pick up items, we always want to pick up no matter what? Like event Items or runner mods? You cannot chose your melee weapon to be held in hand, so you cannot "leftcklick" it… annoying. There is a feature that let you throw your melee weapon and after that it's gone (during the mission)… really?

"Quality of life" IS quality… and the game is lacking on it.

    – I don't like PvP and i didn't tried, but if that mode is any good they should focus on this, the PvE part is a hard pass for me.
