Today we take a look at one of the most OP weapons in Outriders. This is the legendary shotgun called “Funeral Pyre” and this shotguns unique tier 3 mods in Shadow Comet, which sends down a comet that deals MASSIVE AOE damage to targets damage by the weapon. This legendary mod mixed with an anomaly power focused build can one shot CT15 Expedition elites from proccing multiple shadow comets on an elite. This is easily one if, if not, the most powerful weapons in the entire game.

"The second mod isn't that important" – literally the strongest mod in the game 😂
Got it fairly early on, really good mod as you said, but the deathshield is really where it's at for endgame and it's the one legendary weapon I'm missing.
I want this gun so bad, no luck with getting it 🙁
This weapon is incredibly strong and can enable lesser geared build to do high Challenge Tier Expeditions from just adding this weapon to a build.
I only have got like maybe ten legendaries total and I have got this shotgun and I love it on my Dev anomaly start up build I’m just getting into the endgame but I feel the power already

I still don’t know how fortress works. I see so many conflicting things online. Some people say you need to have the weapon with the mod equipped in order for it to be active and then another half of people will say it works regardless of the weapon being equipped or not. Then no one knows for sure what armor rating it caps out at.

Played a ton and have had none of the main weapons drop. Get the same crap all the time. No death shield, moaning winds, shadow comet, etc.
Not having luck getting shot guns. Oh well.
I think I have every legendary shotgun except those two Funeral Pyre and Death Shield 😭😭😭
What I want to know is if Emergency Stance, always being on, counts as using a protection skill like Golem. because then the skill treee mod that gives you extra damage for it is always active

It's a good weapon, but certainly not the best. Moaning Winds swapping is better.

Curious… does having mods that boost your armor increase the bonus you receive from Fortress? or is that just based on what your armor is before any buffs?
Use grand opening on a shotgun it does 1.2mil aoe damage and 1sec colldown instead of 4

I got the Funeral Pyre two expeditions in a row and I've never even looked at it haha

I got it on my techho and broke it down when I was WT12 it was my reward… regretting it now since I have a pyro 😅🤦♂️
Should i dismantel my Deathshield for the mod or play it?
I dismantled it str8 away for the shadow comet mod lol it's on all my guns really helps out on c15 expos
