Why I have hope for Outriders

My take on the upcoming shooter Outriders! I’ve been having a good time exploring and messing around. Is it gutsy to have high hopes for a new game? Yes. Do I anyway? Also yes.

  1. I didn’t really watch, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the demo honestly, so much so that I preordered, I certainly feel better knowing that the demo is representative of the final product, so making a choice won’t really be hard for most people, I can definitely understand why some people are on the fence though.

  2. It’s going to be another anthem. Have a toxic mindset of being a game killer and by doing so they just copy the homework, to just fall flat on Its face cause they underestimated the players that will play this, loss the player base, no content to keep the player base, then get shutdown.

  3. I think outriders is a nice adition to the gaming scene, and I really hope it doesnt end up like Anthem did. Btw, what game should I play if I want to play a more exploration oriented shooter?

  4. I don't like to draw comparisons to other games either, but this game is basically what I wished Division 2 was. I was surprised by the depth of the character building even though I knew about it going in. And when special weapons start to drop, the game really livens up. I'm really looking forward to making crazy builds when I can level my character. The story is a little corny, but hey it's nowhere near as bad as Rage 2.

  5. Pre ordered. Love the builds. Only one class left to try. So far I'm enjoying it very much. It's funny how decent the loot drops are on Outriders. In Destiny2 the whole community goes ape over the Trials bounty for Igneous Hammer. We ground it out too. But now that I have a 3/4 God roll, I really don't want to play Trials again. Looking forward to launch day.

  6. I don’t think it’s a destiny killer because imo it doesn’t have the things that make destiny, well destiny. For one it’s not first person, and it just doesn’t have the depth of destiny, there’s a lot less things you can do, and there’s no pvp, which could be a good thing. It still looks like a really good game, just not a destiny killer.

  8. I hadn't heard about the game until a week ago when a friend asked me to check it out. i thought oh boy heres another game he wants me to play with him that im probably not gonna get into but i saw what it was and was interested enough to play the demo. I went through it with him and then with each of the other classes to decide which I preferred. I ended up really enjoying it and pre ordering it. The main criticisms I have of the game are the story didn't really make sense to me but that's not a big deal, and the cutscene camera that feels like it was filmed on an iphone attached to a vibrator. The main gameplay criticism/concern I have is the level design. If all the level design is like in the demo, that's not good. the whole area is one straight line to gauss at the end with several forks for sidequests. It's extremely and entirely linear. Each area is set up as big arena, pick up key, open door, another big arena with a boss, collect loot and done. It's inorganic, repetitive, and linear. I hope the rest of the game isn't like that but I'd be surprised if it wasn't. That's not a dealbreaker for me but it's a shame.

  9. It's just the budget and dedication they will have for this game. Everyone said Anthem was a Destiny killer, And the ones who created it destroyed it. haven't had a chance to play this game but hearing alot of good things!

  10. yea, i was waiting until the end before i commented "destiny killer???" like nah bro lol. i really really like Outriders so far and have high hopes for it, but destiny 2 is basically a drug. once people get hooked it's about impossible to ween them off it. i like destiny just fine btw. i just don't love it or play it daily.
