OUTRIDERS is a game that is being held back massively by some of the poorest design choices possible. This is the official Coach Toolshed review. Enjoy.

  1. Bad end game design is the biggest issue with the game, aside from its continuing technical problems. For every good QOL decision made by the developer, there's two horrible decisions behind it. Overall, a lot of frustrating issues mar an otherwise decent looter shooter.

  2. The worst part of it is how they do not tell people the changes they make in patch notes. They leave it up to the playerbase to figure out what has been nerfed.

  3. Haven't played it, just watched several reviews w/gameplay, and it looks like a sloppy, boring Borderlands ripofff….That said, can anyone give me a clue as to why it appeals? Thank you! P.S. Now we get to have another, very vocal battle between the "Sell the game in a finished, polished version!" and the "Give it time, they're going to make it awesome, eventually…" clans…I'm of the 'sell the thing when it's done, and have some pride in your products, and give your devs the time and resources they require…" camp, myself…

  4. It's a simple reason why this happens to video games. it's because the developers are brain dead people who don't know the difference between there heads and there ass. Also they don't play there own games that they develop. It's that simple

  5. I don't play these sorts of games, but at secondhand here it looks like these devs are aping the design 'philosophy' and practices geared towards live service exploitation and maintaining player engagement through scumlord tactics. Problem being, they don't understand the reason these things are done in other games, so they're not even milking their playerbase via macrotransactions etc. It's bizarre.

  7. Sounds like these developers have no idea about the absolute basics. Insane. EDIT: Morons that use the Nerf bat when they should be buffing things are a special kind of awful.

  8. No option to lock gear so you don't accidentally sell it to a vendor or destroy it… Yeah, that's kind of crazy for 2021. I mean, I can't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure WOW had that when it first came out. Did it even have a warning for when a person tries to sell / destroy a high level item?
Nice review. It was very informative.

  9. you are so right about your statements.. The Devs are clueless and retarded sadly. HEAVY RNG shiet game is what Outriders is, Sadly the Graphics team did amazing job, the rest of the firm had no clue and should be jobless!

  10. 🤔 From what I see, the mechanics of this game are very similar to GEARS 0F WAR; even the design of the weapons & other aspects of it are very similar to G0W; the only exception would be when a human use "magic" or whatever the magic is called in it, but not so much in comparison to the magic used by the Locust, such as RAAM.

  11. Remember when the fanboy's were saying that this game game was so much better than the likes of destiny and the division?

    It's worse.

Less content, worse shooting mechanics and animations, no pvp but somehow only 5% of all builds are viable in a end game that is nothing but a bare bones horde mode with ZERO mechanics.

Did i forget to say the game has had more patches than cyberpunk but somehow it's still buggy and increasingly grindier to play.

  12. Game Drought? okey sure, but i got Monster Hunter Rise.. and even though its probably not a 'finished' game till the end of the month it seems way more fun to play then another boring looter shooter.

  13. You have to appreciate how difficult it is to balance this kind of game. I believe that Diablo is the king of this genre and they take years to make. How would you react if you put effort into making a game and players found broken builds that smashed through all the content? It would shorten the lifespan of the game and you would have to rebalance it.

  14. I totally agree… I was a crowd control techno… Ppl kept asking me why I was running certain things… Eventually I made my techno dps… I had more fun playing crowd control but they force you to be dps
