Outriders: What Will The Worldslayer Expansion Bring In 2022?

Outriders has a pretty clear plan for 2022 with its sizable Worldslayer expansion, a far cry from the more nebulous plans of Marvel’s Avengers. Here’s how I expect them to copy Diablo this time (in a good way).

  1. Is it worth playing? I played the open beta and the combat felt janky, specifically throwing a grenade locks your crosshair on the x or y axis (I can't remember which). Just didn't feel good after playing games like Borderlands, Destiny, or any other looter shooter I've played that I can't think of off the top of my head.

  2. Off topic question: I saw you post about installing a car seat so how does your child react to the beard disappearing? My daughter forced me to pick a look and stay with it until she was about 4😂 Anyway great vid as always!!

  3. I think Outriders was a great success overall. The game is super super fun. I would be surprised if Outriders 2 is not already in development with a smaller team and building out an actual live service game out of it. They nailed the game mechanics and fun factor. It's all about the content and how the updates will be going forward. They would squander a huge opportunity for massive success for another long term IP if they stopped it.

  4. I actually really enjoyed the game but dropped it once I realised it wasn’t going to have any new content. Seemed like a strange decision for a looter shooter. I may go back and try it but looter shooters are pretty boring without good end game activities which is what the game is missing

  5. I had huge hype for outsiders and sadly for whatever the reason it was the reality is their game wasn't ready for release and that was a huge bummer and for me personally a waste of my money. I wouldn't spend money again on anything from people can fly.

  6. Yes! Diablo was the first of the looter grind genre. Our Destiny characters are based off of the Barbarian, Wizard, & Demon Hunter classes. Been saying this to bewildered Guardians for 7 years. 🤣

  7. Is Worldslayer going to be as big as Reaper of Souls? RoS saved Diablo III and was a massive undertaking that essentially rebooted the game in various ways. Is People Can Fly going all-in on something to resurrect Outriders?
